Qissagadh Active Library

The Qissagadh Active Library works with with young people from childhood to Class XII and beyond in our Kotla Mubarakpur and Savda-Ghevra branches. We also conduct outreach visits with a number of non-profits. Qissagadh is a safe space where young people can come together for independent research, reading and collaborative learning We have almost 3,000 books in English and Hindi, 10 computers and an interactive learning environment. Students read at least one level-appropriate book per month to maintain active membership in our Qissebaaz Book Club and produce a book report for each book read. Every third book requires a comprehensive project to be completed. After 15 books each student receives a prize and certificate. We also hold daily Basic Computer classes at our Ghevra branch, in conjunction with our partner the Habitat Learning Centre.
